What do you want to accomplish?

What does integrity have to do with freedom? Everything. But not how you might think.

You are responsible for what you do with your freedom. Responsibility does not mean you must do or not do anything in particular. It means you are responsible for what you do with your freedom, where it leads, and its consequences.

Let’s discuss freedom and our relationship with it.

I want these messages to influence not only your discipline but also how you think — not what you think, but how you think. Because bad thinking is a big problem.

Do not try to avoid failure. Try to achieve excellence. The only failure to avoid is destruction and death. All other failures are just part of the process.

It should not be controversial to say:

“It is hard to believe our baby is all grown up and graduating. Raising you has been the joy of our lives. We want the best for you, but we know you must make your own path and live your own life. We do not want to give you too much advice, so we will keep this short and sweet:

It is better to aim at a high standard and come up short than to aim at a low standard and hit the mark.

Effort can substitute for talent.Persistence can substitute for precision.Ignorance can even substitute for experience.
